Dr. Leslie Capin is the founder of Dermatology Associates of Colorado and has been practicing dermatology since 1986 in the Denver area. She is a board-certified dermatologist and received her dermatology training and medical education from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Although Dr. Capin oversees and is medical director of Cara Mia Medical Day Spa, her true passion is general dermatology with a particular interest in rare skin disorders and the complex patient. Dr. Capin is also passionate about education, having started the nation’s first Dermatological Nurse Practitioner training program at Regis University. She has served on many boards and advisory councils over the years and is active in the Denver philanthropic community.
Dr. Capin has received numerous awards including “Top Doc” in Denver’s 5280 magazine, “Top Medical Day Spa” in 5280, Business Women of the Year in Healthcare by the Denver Business Journal and Top 100 Women Owned Businesses in The Denver Business Journal. She has also received a Presidential Citation from the American Academy of Dermatology. The Max Fund has recognized Dr. Capin with one of their “special awards”.
Dr. Capin is on staff at Parker Adventist and Castle Rock Adventist Hospitals. She is available 24/7 for her patients and gives patients her cell phone number to remain available for them when needed outside of business hours.
Dr. Capin completed a two year fellowship in Integrative Medicine in January 2015 under Dr. Andrew Weil from the University of Arizona. Dr. Capin has begun to incorporate what she has learned in her fellowship into her everyday practice and feels that she is able to offer her patients complementary and alternative treatments. She is the only Dermatologist in Colorado who has completed this fellowship. Her focus is on treating the “whole” patient, not “a disease”.
Dr. Capin lives in the town of Parker with her Million dollar dog, “Dr. Papidies”. Google Dr. Papidies to read about their story. She enjoys horses, fishing, scuba diving, hiking-always with sunscreen. She loves Colorado and the outdoors. She is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. James DeVito joined Dermatology Associates of Colorado in January 2005 and became a partner in July 2006. Prior to moving to the Denver area, Dr. DeVito had a dermatology practice in San Francisco and was part of the clinical faculty in the Department of Dermatology at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA.
He practices general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology with a special focus on aesthetic enhancements with fillers and treatment of acne and acne scars. He also specializes in the treatment of skin conditions that are of particular concern to individuals of color, including African-American, Asian, Hispanic and Indian patients.
Dr. DeVito earned his medical degree and Masters of Health Administration from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and subsequently completed his dermatology residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical College in 1999. Prior to that he received his BA from Cornell University in biology and society (medical anthropology) with a minor in Portuguese.
He has participated in numerous basic science and clinical research studies over the years and is a clinical laser trainer, teaching other physicians how to use lasers. He has published numerous articles and presented at several national and international meetings. His research interests include new fillers and volumizing agents and cosmeceuticals. Dr. DeVito participates in numerous professional societies and is active in both teaching and lecturing in the community. He frequently travels internationally to learn about the latest cutting-edge procedures and most up-to-date techniques in cosmetic dermatologic surgery. He combines years of education and experience with compassion and concern for the comfort and satisfaction of his patients.
Dr. DeVito is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
KIMBERLY MAINO, MD
Dermatology Associates of Colorado
Dr. Kimberly Maino is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and board certified dermatologist graduating from the US Naval Academy in 1991. She joined Dermatology Associates of Colorado in August 2010 and became a partner in January 2014.
On a Naval scholarship, she completed her MD at Medical University of South Carolina in 1996. She completed a surgical internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital from 1995-1996. Dr. Maino was a Naval Flight surgeon until 2003 and was stationed with a Marine Corps helicopter squadron. She completed her dermatology residency at the combined Walter Reed Army Hospital/National Naval Medical Center in 2003. She stayed on staff at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda and was Assistant Program Director until 2006.
Dr. Maino was a consultant to the White House and to the US Naval Academy. She completed her Mohs fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2007. She completed her Naval career at Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA from 2007-2010. She was Head, Procedural Dermatology and Cutaneous Oncology and resident surgical training syllabus.
Dr. Maino’s father is a former Marine who has found a home in Colorado. She has a 3 year old daughter and her husband is a family practitioner in Arvada.

Cara Mia Day Spa, DERMATOLOGY ASSOCIATES OF COLORADO
Lila Orr joined Dermatology Associates of Colorado and Cara Mia Medical Day Spa in January 2001. With many years of experience in cosmetic and general dermatology for all ages, Lila is able to offer all aspects of skin care. Lila divides her time between the general and cosmetic clinics. She performs cosmetic procedures such as Botox, Dysport, Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse and Sculptra as well as all laser procedures offered at Cara Mia. Lila’s clinical dermatology skills include diagnosis, treatment and surgery of acute and chronic skin diseases of all ages with a special interest in Psoriasis.
Lila serves as the coordinator for pharmaceutical studies conducted through the Practice. Additionally she coordinates all training programs for the nurses and mid-level staff of Cara Mia.
As an adjunct clinical faculty member of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, College of Nursing, Lila enjoys teaching and precepting students.
Lila is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and is the senior mid-level Provider at Dermatology Associates of Colorado and Cara Mia Medical Day Spa. Lila received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nursing as well as a post-graduate certification in Dermatology from Regis University, Denver. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Colorado Society of Dermatology Professionals. Prior to receiving her Masters in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2000, Lila worked for 15 years as a registered nurse in Cardiovascular ICU, General ICU, and the HIV-AIDS Clinic at Denver Public Health.
Nicole Glischinski joined Dermatology Associates of Colorado in August 2013. She grew up in Littleton, Colorado and attended Colorado State University from 1998-2002 where she earned a bachelors degree in Sports Medicine. She then went on to attend physician assistant graduate school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center from 2003-2006 where she also earned a Masters of Science degree.
During her 3 years of PA school, she extensively studied dermatology and, after working her first four years after PA school in Internal Medicine, decided dermatology was her passion. She has worked in dermatology since 2010 and truly enjoys working closely with patients and co-workers in the dermatology field. She practices general dermatology primarily, but also has experience in research and pharmaceutical trials as well as cosmetics and injectables.
Nicole enjoys meeting new people and truly getting to know them while also helping them with their skin care needs. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 7 years and 2 year old daughter, reading, traveling and skiing.
Denise Adams, RN joined Cara Mia Medical Day Spa in July 2000. She has been in cosmetic dermatology since 1996. Denise has been working with lasers since 1990 and has been a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery since that time. Her nickname from the operating room was “laser queen” and some still continue to fondly call her that!
Denise graduated with honors from South Chicago Community School of Nursing in 1979. She has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau the International Honor Society of Nursing since that time. In 1986 she received her BSN from Lewis College in Joliet, Illinois. Prior to moving to Denver she worked in surgery, primarily in orthopedics and total joints.
After relocating to Denver she was employed as a sales representative for medical charts. Missing the hands-on of medicine she went back to the operating room and began working with lasers. She worked for several laser companies providing training for surgical staff. Her last position prior to cosmetic dermatology was as the laser coordinator for 5 years at Lutheran Medical Center. It was during that time she had an article published in the Association of Operating Room Nurse’s Journal and co-authored a training manual titled The Nursing Spectrum of Lasers.
Denise is an expert in all 10 lasers at Cara Mia Medical Day Spa. She also finds injection of fillers and toxins very gratifying because their results are seen so quickly. Making the patient happy is her priority. She performs many other procedures such as DiamondTome, peels and sclerotherapy. Denise is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and received her Certification in 2005.
Denise loves learning new skills and enjoys teaching others. She is on the speakers circuit for the American Cancer Society and gives lectures at Cara Mia and in the community. Her hobbies are golfing, hiking, sailing and traveling with her husband.
Maureen Dooley, RN joined Cara Mia Medical Day Spa in 2001. She has been working in the field of cosmetic dermatology since 1998.
Over the years Maureen as become an expert in the injection of Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvèderm®, Juvèderm® Voluma, Radiesse®, Botox® and Dysport®. She also performs all the laser and light treatments offered at Cara Mia Medical Day Spa such as Fraxel®, IPL, Thermage®, e-Matrix® and Laser Hair Removal. In addition she does DiamondTome treatments and a variety of chemical peels including the Obagi Blue Peel.
Maureen likes to refer to herself as “the personal trainer for your skin” and enjoys building that relationship with her patients, many of whom have been working with her since she started in the field. Cosmetic dermatology offers the perfect venue for Maureen to combine all her talents and interests: her strong nursing background, her artistic eye, and her ability to work as a partner with her patients to help them achieve their goals.
Maureen received her RN diploma from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in New York City where she worked in several large teaching hospitals in the areas of organ transplantation, research oncology and cardiology. She also has a degree in Medical Facility Design and worked as a nursing consultant on a variety of hospital and medical office construction projects. Before moving to Colorado Maureen enjoyed many years as a Visiting Nurse in Michigan where she completed her Master’s Degree.
She is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and is certified by The Dermatology Nursing Certification Board (DNCB).
Special Interests: Maureen has volunteered at Learning Ally (formerly Recording for The Blind and Dyslexic) recording medical text books for their national audio library.
Geri Dellacroce is a licensed medical aesthetician with over 25 years experience. She is a graduate of the renowned Catherine Hinds Institute of Boston, one of the foremost aesthetic schools in the US.
Geri started her skin care career in Colorado at the five star Sonnenalp Resort Spa in Vail, CO. She has been a certified instructor of aesthetics since 1995. Geri has been specializing in medical skin care for 17 years in the Vail and Denver areas.
Geri has become expert in both facial and body treatments. Along with DiamondTome microdermabrasion, peels and facials, Geri administers laser procedures including IPL photofacials and laser hair removal. She is adept in many of the cutting edge treatments offered at Cara Mia Medical Day Spa such as CoolSculpt, micro-needling and e-Matrix Sublative procedures which improve skin tone and elasticity. Geri also has 15 years experience in the application of permanent makeup for facial enhancement and scar revisions.
Geri continues her education in the field of medical aesthetics by attending advanced classes and seminars to keep ahead of the ever changing industry.
Ana Stearns joined Dr. Capin’s team in March 2005. She has since demonstrated she is deeply committed to providing patients with the finest skin care through consultative treatments, prescribed products and personal patient care.
Ana has extensive training in dermatology clinical care and a variety of specializations. These specialties include chemical peels, permanent makeup, facials, DiamondTome microdermabrasion and light treatments (LED, Blu-Light). Additionally, Ana provides a variety of spray tanning, micro-current face lifts, Velashape, CoolSculpting cellulite treatments, prescription skin care (Obagi and ZO), oxygen facials and acne therapies for both teens and adults.
Specializing in permanent makeup, Ana uses the most advanced techniques and methods for creating the most natural “hair stroke” eyebrows, eyeliner, the remodeling or enlargement of lips and, if necessary, correcting undesired permanent makeup from previous applications on clients who have come to her through physician referrals. In addition, her referrals also comprise areola reconstruction, vitiligo and camouflage.
Personalized to your individual skin type, Ana prescribes cosmetic treatments with customized products to refine pores, hydrate and firm the skin and reduce facial tension. Ana is also fully trained in the art of unwanted hair removal for both men and women. Ana can consult and provide assistance with all of your personal and “professional” makeup needs for that perfect look for any special occasion.
Ana graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2002 and received her Bachelor degree in Business Management of Science. Ana was born and raised in Denver. As a Colorado native she is a huge fan of the outdoors and enjoys skiing, hiking and camping. Most of all she loves to cook and spends time creating gluten free meals. She also volunteers time by knitting hats for newborn babies for a women’s shelter in Denver.
