3 Resolutions Your Skin Will Thank You For in 2019
- Posted on: Jan 15 2019
As skin specialists, if we were to have one wish for our patients in 2019 it would be for you to take better care of your skin. One of the problems with good skin care, though, it’s that there are some basic practices that a lot of people are unfamiliar with. To help you get into some good skin care habits in 2019, we have created a list of some basic, at-home things that you can do to avoid skin damage later on.
Wash Your Face
One of the easiest and most beneficial things that you can do for your skin every day is to wash it with a gentle facial cleanser. With pollutants, germs, makeup, dust, and dirt just about everywhere, they can cake up on your skin and cause things like dryness, irritation, acne, and even fine lines and wrinkles. Get into the habit of using a gentle facial cleanser to wash your face with both morning and night.
Don’t Pop Pimples
If you get regular acne or if you just get hormonal acne, then you know just how difficult it can be to not pop your pimples. However, popping pimples can lead to things like acne scars or even more acne later on. To avoid either of these problems, we encourage patients to not pop their pimples but rather to either have them professionally extracted or to leave them alone entirely.
If you don’t’ already wear sunscreen on your face every day then you may be putting your skin at a high risk of getting fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, or even skin cancer. Get into the habit of wearing a daily moisturizer with an SPF in it every day; that way you can keep your skin extra protected.
These are three easy ways that you can avoid certain skin problems. To learn more about how you can take better care of your skin, contact Parker office and call us at (303) 350-4600.
