Dermal Fillers Aurora CO | Juvederm Aurora CO
Dermal fillers encompass a range of products used for a procedure in which extremely fine needles are used to inject minute quantities of filler into the skin to smooth wrinkles, minimize imperfections, and add volume. Cara Mia Medical Day Spa clinicians are extremely talented and, with an artistic eye, are able to achieve optimum results for their patients in Aurora, Castle Rock, Meridian, and Parker, CO.
Using their experience, along with listening to the needs of the patient, the clinicians at Cara Mia Medical Day Spa will make a determination which product (or products) are required to achieve optimum results. Products available at Cara Mia Medical Day Spa are:

WHAT ARE HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS?
Juvéderm Ultra and Ultra Plus, Perlane®, Restylane® and Silk, and Juvéderm® Voluma are all hyaluronic acid fillers, which is a substance that occurs naturally in our joints. These products are made in laboratory conditions from plant material. Juvéderm is the softest of the fillers and is used to augment lips with Juvéderm® Voluma offering the most volume and is injected deeper into the dermis. The other fillers are used elsewhere in the face; i.e. nasolabial folds (smile lines), cheeks, tear trough and acne scars.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The length of time the product remains in your body is dependent upon the product used and the way your own system metabolizes the product. They are broken down and excreted in your urine. The prolonged use of the products causes your own fibroblasts to produce more collagen over time.
IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?
Many of the products have a numbing agent mixed with the product so are less painful. With products that do not have an added agent your clinician will apply a topical numbing cream prior to treatment. After the effect of the numbing has dissipated you may feel minimal soreness in the injected areas which will last for a matter of hours.
WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TREATMENT?
The area will be red and may have some swelling. Make–up can be applied in an hour. These products are pliable for 2 hours so we recommend a still face until they have “set up”. Bruising is the most common side effect. Stopping products that thin the blood (warfarin, Coumadin) and taking arnica a few days before help prevent bruising.
